Woolly Mammoth Bone Slice- SOLD 6.67" Humerus Slice with Soft Tissue Bone Marrow - Siberian

US Shipping only!

Roughly the mass of a modern African elephant, the woolly mammoth evolved some 400,000 years ago in Siberia from the steppe mammoth widespread on that continent, and ultimately spread westward into Europe and eastward into North America via the Beringian land bridge that once connected modern-day Russia and Alaska.

This specimen is a 6.67" cross-section of a Woolly Mammoth bone. It comes from the humerus and contains soft marrow tissue within the center. It was recovered from Sibera and is estimated to be 22,000 years old.

Please Note: This specimen is available for US shipping only. It is untreated, prehistoric, bone material and has a slight natural scent (similar to linseed oil.) Please keep the specimen in a climate controlled environment and away from pets (as they may try to take a bite!)
