J. R. R. Tolkien Beckett Encapsulated Handwriting Removed from an Autograph Letter Signed
Offered for the first time in an extremely limited quantity—genuine handwriting from legendary Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit author J. R. R. Tolkien, authenticated and encapsulated by (BAS) Beckett Authentication Services. Each handwritten word was carefully removed from a handwritten letter Tolkien wrote in September 1968.
A limited edition item from our friends at CutWordCo, each order will include one Tolkien handwriting fragment selected from the dropdown menu. Each word in the dropdown menu is an actual word handwritten by Tolkien. Handwriting is mounted to a custom card from our friends at CutWordCo and set in a standard-sized Beckett holder.
Each encapsulated word was individually removed from a September 25, 1968 letter written by Tolkien from Oxford to Messrs Maple & Co. of Bournemouth concerning household furnishings and payments.
Genuine Tolkien autograph letters are extremely hard to come by and typically sell for tens of thousands of dollars. This encapsulated word offers a rare and affordable opportunity to own an authentic piece of Tolkien's handwriting.
