Oreodont Jaw

Oreodont Jaw

Once thought to be a distant relative of modern day pigs, oreodonts grazed among the plains and forests of the Eocene Epoch. Specially adapted to these conditions, their name actually means "mountain teeth!" These particular chompers are from the species Merycoidodon culbertsoni, which lived across North America.

This specimen is a piece of an oreodont jaw and is avalible in a small and medium size. It will arrive in a sturdy carton and comes with a specimen card which also serves as its certificate of authenticity.
