Jurassic Battle Dinosaur Fossil Bundle

Two Jurassic dinosaur fossils, one discounted collection!
With the Jurassic Battle Bundle, you'll receive two fossils from the Age of Dinosaurs: Allosaurus Vertebra and Stegosaurus Plate. In the Jurassic Morrison Formation in what is now Utah, these two dinosaurs came head to head—an iconically-armored herbivore and a terrifying apex predator facing off in battle. Both fossil specimens ship in their own glass-topped riker display case that measures 4"x3"x1", along with an informational authenticity card.
This bundle includes the Allosaurus Vertebra and Stegosaurus Plate specimens for a discounted price. More details on individual specimens can be found below.
ALLOSAURUS VERTEBRA
Allosaurus was one of the most dominant predators of the Late Jurassic Period. Reaching 30ft (9m) in length, this large theropod is known for its powerful, three-fingered forelimbs, wide gape, and iconic "hornlets" over the eyes.
Named the state fossil of Utah in 1988, Allosaurus is one of the most plentiful dinosaurs found in Utah's bonebeds, including the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry which holds the remains of nearly 50 individual juveniles and subadults.
This specimen is a fragment of an Allosaurus vertebra recovered on private land from the Morrison Formation in Utah. It measures about 0.75".
STEGOSAURUS PLATE
Armored with twin rows of bony-cored plates and sharp tail spikes, Stegosaurus is one of the best known of all dinosaurs.
The plates and spikes of Stegosaurus are called osteoderms, bony deposits that form in the skin rather than growing as extensions of the skeleton. Lacking an anchor to the skeleton, some scientists believe that Stegosaurus's plates would provide limited mechanical protection. The current scientific thinking leans towards temperature regulation as the primary function.
This specimen is a fragment of Stegosaurus plate, recovered from the Skull Creek Quarry in Colorado. This private quarry is part of the Morrison Formation. Specimens from this location date to the late Jurassic Period roughly 150,000,000 years ago. It measures about 0.75".
