Venice Brick

Venice Brick

A wonder of ancient Europe and a hub of commerce and culture, the canals of Venice are an enchanting sight to this day. Formed during one of the most tumultuous times in the region, the Republic of Venice became a station of major influence until it was overtaken during the Napoleonic Wars.

This specimen is a sample of a brick used in the 14th century to pave the streets of Venice. It is packaged inside a clear gem jar for protection, and presented in a handsome, glass-topped riker case for easy display.
